The importance of Exercise
Energy input (food intake) becomes greater than energy output (activity) when we eat more than we need or use. That excess of energy (food) soon gets stored on your body as fat and increases the changes of to developing chronic, obesity-related diseases later in life. Think of it as having tanks in your body. Once you eat so much and the tanks are full your body doesn't know what to do with it so it stored it in your fat cells. Simple!
To fix this energy imbalance and ensure we stay fit, healthy and lean it's important to maintain an effective level of activity. Exercise increases the rate at which your body uses energy and burns up stored energy, promoting weight loss. We want to become fat burners not fat storers!
The more muscle you have the faster your metabolism! So they aim of the game is to gain as much muscle as we can!
Increasing your level of physical activity will not only decrease the amount of fat your body is carrying, but increase your lean muscle mass. It will also improve your overall fitness, which is, the function of your heart and lungs.
Now that you know this we will try and make the most of our time and we will go through the correct and most effective ways to train.
