The importance of Nutrition-
Eat CLEAN, If You Want To Get LEAN
You can't out exercise bad nutrition.
Your workouts are 20-30% of the fat loss equation and nutrition is 70-80%. If you’re exercising regularly and not seeing fat loss results, you must make an adjustment to your nutrition.
As the saying goes, "abs are built in the kitchen", !
One of the most important factors in weight loss and lean muscle mass gain is nutrition.
In fact, eating a nutritionally sound diet is more than 70% the battle, considering that food intake directly affects the amount of fat and calories the body burns. Think about it, your working out 3-4 times a week for 45min you are only working out for about 5% of your week. Which means 95% of the other time is influenced by your nutritional habits.
The good news is that eating a healthy diet is not hard, and it can completely eliminate this problem and turn the body into a fat burning machine! The key is to eat the proper foods and eat them at regular intervals throughout the day to boost metabolism and get those fat burning engines running. Which we will go through every week in our Nutritional blogs.
Rumour has it that limiting yourself to an extremely low caloric diet or eliminating carbohydrates and living off of rabbit food will result in faster weight loss and a lean muscular physique. But its quiet the opposite as this can actually cause weight gain. Diets like these cause the body to go into what is often referred to as "starvation" or "survival" mode, in which it begins to store fat instead of burning it. Our bodies are still in 100 B.C mode where they used to go days or weeks without food so the body has been programmed to thinks “Oh crap I’m not gonna get food for a while, so I should store as much as I can to supply me with energy for the period of time I will have no food!’’.
This would have been good back in the day but HELLO its 2011 now so keep up with the times body! But we got to work with what we got so low calories diets DO NOT WORK!
Why waste your time doing metabolic conditioning if your not going to feed the body with the right nutrients to build the body we are training so hard for!
